Free English Language Services for Adults
Who can take ELSA classes?
You must be a permanent resident who has not yet completed LINC or ELSA
You must be 17 years old or older
How much do the classes cost?
The classes are free and funded by the Canadian and British Columbia governments.
What will I learn?
English speaking, listening, writing, reading, and working in Canada.
Class Schedule
Morning Classes: Monday/ Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
9AM- 1PM
Evening Classes: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday
6:30PM- 9:30PM
Classes begin September 19, 2011 and end June 14, 2012. Classes are closed holidays and Christmas and Spring Breaks.
How do I apply for ELSA?
1. Bring your permanent resident or citizen card to Gladwin Language Centre to register.
2. After you register, the testing centre will schedule an assessment for you. The test will be at Gladwin Language Centre. You must have this test before you begin classes.
3. A letter will come to you telling you when your test appointment is.
4. After your test you may start class. Each month new students begin.
Registration:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:00 am – 7:30 pm
Wednesday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
